A wheelchair accessible bus is scheduled to run through areas of the county with destinations of Park Rapids and Bemidji. 

Option 1: **This option has been suspended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic**
From: LaPorte, Akeley, Nevis 
To: Park Rapids
When: Daily Monday-Friday

You choose the day the bus comes closest to your home and we will swing by to pick you up! 

Option 2: 
From: Park Rapids, Nevis, Lake Alice, Lake George
To: Bemidji
When: The 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month (excluding holidays) 

You MUST call 218-732-9328 for reservations. We prefer 2 hours in advance.
Hours for calling:
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Friday

There is generally a 3-4 hour layover at the destination and the bus can take you from point to point once you are there. 

Fee: $6.00 Round Trip for both Option 1 and 2.

Schedules are published on a monthly basis and a subscription of $5.00 per year will get it mailed to you.

Park Rapids City Bus Service
If you need a ride around the city of Park Rapids, this service is for you!
The bus runs within the city limits of Park Rapids.  The city bus is a 16 passenger wheelchair accessible vehicle.  

Rides are available:
Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM - 6:45 PM
Saturday from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Call Dispatch at 218-732-3500 to schedule a ride.  At least a 2 hour notice is needed for initial pick up. 

Dispatch Hours:
Monday -Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
